1. The US Navy has rescued the American sea captain held by Somali pirates. A senior US intelligence official said hostage Richard Phillips was not hurt in what appeared to be a swift firefight off the Somali coast. 2. Grass fires in Oklahoma have flared up again in two counties. That's prompted temporary evacuations until the fires are brought under control. Three people have died, more than 100 homes have been destroyed by the fires as they raged through Oklahoma and Texas Thursday. 3. Thailand's former prime minister is calling for a revolution as tens of thousands of protesters swarm the capital. Demonstrators attacked cars carrying the current prime minister and his aides. A state of emergency declaration has done little to slow the violence. 4. Easter Sunday brought President Barack Obama and his family to church for the first public worship services since he took office. They went to St. John's Church just across Lafayette Park from the White House, for the Episcopal service. |
