2001年11月12日，在全世界歌迷的的翘首祈盼下，Westlife推出了自己的第三张专辑 <World Of Our Own> ，发行仅一周便以300,000多的销量打败了歌坛天后Madonna的精选专辑成为冠军，这也是他们的第二张冠军专辑。新专辑共收录了19首世界当红词曲创作者们的杰作，其中有7首歌曲完全由团员们自己创作。音乐的类型和表现与以前的作品相比，内容更为丰满，除了高超的技巧和成熟的唱功外，又加入了灵魂式的唱腔。浪漫抒情的歌曲依然是Westlife专辑的传统特色，而多首快板歌曲更衬托出了Westlife年轻人的活泼动感。
