1.Former NFL star quarterback Michael Vick left a Kansas prison early Wednesday to begin home confinement in Virginia. Vick spent 19 months behind bars for financing a dogfighting ring. His agent says resuming a football career will not be his immediate focus.

2.Authorities nationwide are on a lookout for a mother and  her 13-year-old cancer-stricken son who fled after refusing the chemotherapy that doctors say could save the boy's life. An arrest warrant has been issued for Colleen Hauser.

3.The House passed legislation Wednesday that would impose sweeping new restrictions on the credit card industry. The bill includes a requirement that consumers receive at least 45 days' notice and an explanation before their interest rate is increased.

4.The NBA's Eastern Conference finals open tonight in Cleveland as the Cavaliers take on the Orlando Magic. The Cavs are a well-rested team after sweeping both Detroit and Atlanta in the playoffs. Orlando is fresh off a seven-game win over Boston.
