介绍：   As I Lay Dying 是圣地亚哥的一支Metalcore乐队,乐队于2001年由主唱 Tim Lambesis ,鼓手 Jordan Mancino 和吉他 Evan White 组成,不久就发行了 Beneath the Encasing of Ashes ,第2年又发行了 Beneath the Encasing of Ashes .到了2003年,乐队在 Metal Blade 发行了第1张专辑 Frail Words Collapse 后吉他 Evan White 离开了乐队,之后加入了2个吉他手 Phil Sgrosso , Nick Hipa 和贝司手 Clint Norris .07年乐队原贝斯手Clint Norris因结婚而退出了乐队，因此，新任贝斯手Josh Gilbert顶替了他的位置。Josh的加入为As I Lay Dying带来了一定的变化，他在弹奏贝斯的同时还为本张专辑中加入了一些旋律性的和音，而两位吉他手Nick Hipa和Phil Sgrosso之间的配合较之以前也显得更加默契。本张专辑的第一首歌是一小段略带古典气息的纯吉他Intro，只有一分多钟。在简短大气的开场白之后，As I Lay Dying的金属狂潮就迎面袭来。
