A: Sorry, sir. We have to ration the sell of gas to 5 gallons for a buyer, because of the energy crisis.
B: I see it. Well, I guess I have to cut down my gas consumption. Just give me four gallons, please.
A: All right. Should I check under the hood?
B: Yes, please.
A: You are a quart low.
B: Give a quart of light oil.
A: Yes, sir. Here are the sales lists and some trading stamps.
B: Thank you.
Unit Six Traveling (Alan just came back from San Francisco. In now Julia is asking Alan about his trip.)
A: Alan, how was your trip? I’m dying to hear all about it.
B: It was wonderful, Julia. I really love it.
A: So, what do you think of San Francisco?
B: Beautiful. Have you ever been there?
A: No, I haven’t. So tell me about it.
B: Um, it really is a beautiful city, mostly because it’s so different, I think. Everywhere you look there are hilly streets beautiful old Vitoria homes and buildings, the bay, and of course the golden gate bridge.
A: Oh, how lovely. How I wonder I could go there someday.
B: And its traffic system is convenient and restaurants are good and with great for variety.
A: How was your hotel?
B: It’s was small and very old but very clean, besides the ranges were quite reasonable.
A: Sounds to refect. San Francisco here I come.
Unit Seven Pay a visit (Jack comes to visit Mr. Winter at his home. And the maid answers the door.)
