1.President Barack Obama is joining other world leaders at the G-8 summit in Italy. Topping the agenda are new efforts for battling global warming and the economy. G-8 leaders said the global economy is still too shaky to begin rolling back massive fiscal stimulus plans.

2.The impact of a cyber assaults on US and South Korean government computers is still being assessed. It appears many government officers were able to fend off the attack. Security experts analyzing the attack say the targets included the White House, the Pentagon, the National Security Agency and the New York Stock Exchange.

3.Police in Nashville have confirmed that ex-NFL Star Steve McNair's 20 year-old girlfriend killed him before turning the gun on herself. They say they may never know what was going through Sahel Kazemi's mind when she shot McNair in his condo. They say it's clear it was murder-suicide.

4.The city of Los Angeles is looking to recoup some of the costs of Michael Jackson's memorial service. The city attorney’s office is investigating how L.A. can legally press third parties to pick up at least some of the expenses. The event is estimated to have cost up to four million dollars in overtime for hundreds of police officers and other services.
