剧情简介
内容讲述一对深爱着对方的母女罗拉和艾玛，但她们之间却一直存在着隔阂和冲突，以致艾玛为了使自己尽量脱离母后的形象和影响，用去了三十年时间，但直到临终之际她才发现自己对母亲的亲情无法让她释怀和割舍。 影片情节感人，思想深刻，是一部不可多得的好作品。
本片是一部温馨小品，旨在以人生酸甜苦辣来诠释母女复杂亲情关系，当年以黑马姿态赢得第56届奥斯卡最佳影片、最佳导演、最佳改编剧本、最佳女主角、最佳男配角共五项大奖。影片情节感人，从幽默到严肃，风格逐渐过渡。本片是詹姆斯·布鲁克斯的编导处女作。1996年的续集《常在我心间延续篇：动人季节》（又译《亲密关系1997》， The Evening Star）讲述奶奶和三个外孙的故事。
