I'm very hopeful about the future of their relationship.

That's attorney for Brooke Sheen who says his client wants to reconcile with her husband actor Charlie Sheen. Yale Galanter spoke to the AP by phone from Aspen, Colorado where Brooke is staying with the couple's twin boys.

Listen these two kids, they are madly in love with one another, they have beautiful babies together and there's no reason that they shouldn't be able to have a long, fruitful, healthy life with one another.

Less than a week ago on Christmas Day, Brooke Sheen called police and said the “Two and a Half Men” star held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.

Now my husband had me (what do you mean?) with a knife and I’m scared for my life and he threatened me.

That 911 call triggered Sheen arrest, something Galanter now says his client didn't realize.

Well, I don't think any voice in that situation is under knows what the law is in the particular place of their act. They are not lawyers so they would never know the legal significance of those phone calls.

Charlie Sheen's attorney also confirms his client wants to put the episode behind him and make up with his wife. But for now, Sheen faces charges of felony menacing, domestic violence, second-degree assault and criminal mischief. A hearing is scheduled for February 8th in Aspen.
