1. Hundreds more US troops have landed in Haiti determined to help the homeless caused by the massive earthquake. The forces hoping to bring a lot of jammed supplies, which have been donated there but the jets may be distributed.

2. More UN forces were heading to  Haiti,that staying in Port-au-Prince. Tension there has been rising as food and water have been even more scarce.

3. Security has been tightened in Afghanistan following Monday's attack in the capital Kabul. Armed militants opened fired on security forces there paralysed in the city. The situation was closer to normal Tuesday, but there are more questions around the ability of the government to protect the city.

4. Erich Segal has died. He was best-selling author who painted the novel Love Story. It included the line: “love means never having to say you're sorry”.
