Tommy opened up the door

Saw his Veckie crying

And took down his daddy′s face

When he walked into the barroom

One of them got up

And meet him halfway cross the floor

When Tommy turn around

They said,

Hey look old Yellow′s leaving

But you could have heard a pin drop

When Tommy stop and lock the door

The bottle up inside him

He let them have it all

He wouldn′t hold nothing back

When Tommy left the barroom

Not a gambling boy was standing

He said this one′s for Veckie

As he watched the last one fall

I heard him say
