Zhejiang province has released its latest figures for H7N9 bird flu. As of Monday, the province has confirmed a 49 cases, 12 of whom have died. One person is said to have made a full recovery, while 36 are still being treated in hospital. 41 of the 49 cases involved people who had direct contact with poultry¹. The number of infections has been rising steadily² in Zhejiang since January the 9th.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong confirmed one H7N9 bird flu case was found at a local agricultural products wholesale³ market. The special administrative⁴ region says it will cull⁵ about 20-thousand poultry in the market on Tuesday morning.
