CCTV9英语新闻：官方:香港MERS情况监测

An official from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government says it will closely monitor South Korea's MERS situation, as sustained human to human infections may have occurred.

 

Food and Health Secretary Ko Wing-man says that despite all of South Korea's confirmed cases being infected within a healthcare setting, the HKSAR government will be on alert for other sources of transmission. 

 

Earlier, China's national health authorities issued a manual on MERS for health departments and hospitals. Control measures at hospitals will be stepped up, and patients complaining of fever will be screened. 

 

Southern China's Guangdong Health Department also said the South Korean man still has a fever, but medics are cautiously optimistic.
