The National Cherry Blossom¹ Festival is underway in Washington. Every year, more than a million visitors from around the world come to the nation's capital to enjoy the blooming of the city's famous cherry trees. The trees were a gift of friendship from Japan in 1912. We leave you with a look at the cherry blossoms² around Washington's Tidal Basin in a musical postcard produced by VOA's Valer Gergely.
