85 remain missing from Philippine ship collision
The search operation has resumed as 85 are still missing following ship collision in central Philippine province of Cebu.
The death toll¹ of the mishap² rose to 34 after two bodies were retrieved³ Sunday morning. A total of 751 people on board the ill- fated ferry have been rescued so far.
Rescue operation, which halted Saturday evening due to high waves, resumed Sunday morning.
A cargo⁴ vessel⁵ collided with the passenger vessel off the coast of Talisay in Cebu Friday night. Both ships have 870 passengers and crew.

Egypt PM says no reconciliation⁶ with "those involved in bloodshed"
Egyptian interim⁷ Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi has vowed⁸ no reconciliation with "those whose hands have been tarnished⁹ by blood," in reference to the Muslim Brotherhood¹⁰ whose members have clashed with police in protest of a dispersal operation against their sit-in camps. 
Beblawi told reporters there was no chance of reconciliation with those "who violated the law." 
On Saturday, Bebalwi officially proposed dissolution of the Brotherhood.
At least 173 people were killed and more than 1,300 others injured in overnight clashes across Egypt between supporters of deposed¹¹ President Mohamed Morsi, who emerged from the Brotherhood, and security forces.
The Egyptian government and the state TV have recently been referring to the Brotherhood and its affiliates¹² as "terrorists."

Bomb explodes outside Egypt's consulate¹³ in Libya 
A bomb went off outside Egypt's consulate in Benghazi, eastern Libya on Saturday, causing property damage.
Witnesses say the explosion damaged the consulate's outer wall and some nearby vehicles, adding police have cordoned¹⁴ off the scene for investigations¹⁵. 
The blast occurred amid a protest outside the consulate expressing support for Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, whose members have been clashing with security forces since their sit-in camps had been dispersed¹⁶ on Wednesday.

Iran ready for "purposeful" nuclear talks: FM 
Iran's new foreign minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif says his country is ready for "purposeful" nuclear talks within specified¹⁷ timetable.
Zarif made the remarks in a telephone conversation with EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton. 
The minister stressed a "political determination" and "serious will" for resolving Iran's nuclear issue with Iran's nuclear rights recognized, according to the report.

Guangzhou rail service suspended, 80,000 affected 
Train service of Guangzhou Railway Station, a rail hub in south China, has been suspended after landslides¹⁸ blocked a railway artery¹⁹ linking Guangzhou and Beijing.
Guangzhou Railway Corporation could not confirm when the train service could resume. 
More than 80,000 passengers would not be able to board their trains, according to the company's estimates. 
Landslides cut off the Guangdong section of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway as downpours have been drenching²⁰ northern part of Guangdong Province for days.
Passengers were told not to come to the railway station as there would be no train to board.

Death toll rises to 37 in NE China's floods 
Liaoning Province on Sunday reported 12 flood-related deaths, bringing the death toll in northeast China floods to 37.
Liaoning's Fushun City government said 32 others went missing after downpours drenched²¹ the city over the past two days. 
Northeast China has been hit by the worst flooding in decades this summer. 
Floods hit a residential²² compound in Jilin Province, leaving 14 dead. 
Heilongjiang Province reported 11 flood-related deaths. The floods have destroyed over 2,500 houses and severely²³ damaged at least 12,500 others, with direct economic losses estimated at more than 7 billion yuan (over 1billion U.S. dollars).

China's home prices continue to rise in July 
Prices of both new and existing homes continued to rise in most Chinese cities in July, according to official data released on Sunday.
 The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says of a statistical²⁴ pool of 70 major Chinese cities, 62 cities saw month-on-month home price rises. However, the number was down from 63 cities that reported higher prices in June.
According to the bureau, 57 cities reported month-on-month price gains in existing homes in July compared to 55 in the previous month. But the figure was lower than 64 cities that saw price rises in May.

China expects nationwide broadband by 2020 
China says it will strive to complete broadband coverage²⁵ of both urban and rural areas by 2020.
The State Council elevated national broadband development as as a national strategy and announced a implementation²⁶ timetable for its development over the coming eight years. 

The strategy aims to achieve WiFi coverage in key public urban areas by 2013 and fixed²⁷ broadband coverage for half of Chinese households by 2015.
