Mark St Leon initially¹ began research into the history of the circus in Australia because of his own family connection to the famous St Leon's circus. In his book on the history of the circus in Australia he looks at some of the famous local and international circuses, the itinerant² nature of the business and how the circus of today has reinvented itself to cater³ to modern times.
