　　After months of primaries and debates, campaign events in a weeklong convention, the republican party officially has its presidential and vice² presidential nominees³. Paul Ryan addressed the republican convention on Wednesday.

　　"Mr.Chairman, delegates, and fellow citizens. I'm honored by the support of this convention for vice presidents of the United States.""Ladies and gentlemen, these past four years, we have suffered no shortage of words in the White House.""What is missing is leadership in the White House.""After four years of getting the run aground, America needs a turnaround. And the man for the job is governor Mitt⁴ Romney."His running mate set the stage on Wednesday, then it was Mitt Romney's turn to take the podium yesterday and given what some analysts⁵ called the defining speech of his political career.

　　"I wish president Barack Obama had succeed because I want America to succeed.""But its promises gave away to disappointments and division. This is something we have to accept, now is the moment when we can do something and with your help, we will do something.""Now is the moment and we can stand up and say, I'm an American, I make my destiny, we deserve better, my children deserve better, my family deserves better, my country deserves better."In states along US gulf⁶ coast, the rain will not stop. Isaac was down graded to a tropical storm on Wednesday, and downgraded again to a tropical depression yesterday. But it was still drenching⁷ the region. That led severe flooding in some areas. You can see these neighborhood already under water. Concerns about rising water levels in other areas led officials to announce mandatory⁸ evacuations for tens of thousands of people. On Wednesday, rescue workers helped save around 100 who didin't evacuate⁹ in time. As of Thursday, there was one death reported in connection with Isaac, a tow truck driver was hit by a falling tree while he was trying to clear debris¹⁰ off a road in Mississippi.
