2016年CRI CPC in Dialogue with the World

 

Established in 2014, the "CPC in Dialogue with the World" aims to provide a platform to share the latest policies of the Communist Party of China with the world.

The year's event is centering on the theme of "Innovation of Global Economic Governance: The Party's Governing Philosophy and Actions".

By this chance, the CPC hopes to express the expectations of 1.3 billion Chinese people for world economic growth and for the reform of global economic governance system.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing¹ Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, calls for tightened² cooperation, as facing the changing international situation of growing complexity³.

"China will actively⁴ participate in the global economic governance and further the implementation⁵ of the One Belt One Road initiative, based on the principles of joint-discussion,co-construction and sharing. The initiative, has developed comprehensively from nothing, and its progress and achievements are far beyond expectation. Now it's contributing to the well-being⁶ of countries and people along the route."

He pointed⁷ out, to follow the trend of economic globalization, China will speed up its opening-up to the world and broaden cooperation with foreign governments.

And a fair, sustainable and efficient global economic governance system is expected to help realize this goal.

"China would like to take this meeting as an opportunity, to exchange ideas, share experience and meet challenge together with parties from other countries or regions, for the peace and prosperity of the world so as to jointly⁸ improve the structure and capability⁹ of global governance. I hope all the participants can feel free to express their views and draw on the wisdom of the masses during the meeting, in order to contribute their own strength to the global governance." 

The CPC Dialogue with the World 2016 has gathered around 80 prominent political figures, experts and scholars from over 50 countries.

It comes after this year's G20 Summit in Hangzhou, which has gained a great success through addressing critical issues facing the world economy, enhance the shift from "crisis response" to "long-term economy",and directing international economic cooperation.

During the opening ceremony, Dominique de Villepin, Former Prime Minister of France, appreciated China's proposals in constructing a better and more reasonable international economic order.

"Let's encourage internationally investment, as in the case of the Chinese program of the "One Belt One Road" initiative, developing infrastructure¹⁰ from Asia to Europe. I'm firmly convinced that crisis of our time are going to be addressed through collective action, only through mutually dialogue could we fight together against political tensions. And only through openness and massive investments, can we manage to stimulate¹¹ economy."

The 2016 CPC in Dialogue with the World runs until October 15th.
