Amanda: You know Mike, it's hot and sunny today, the perfect weather for ice cream. I'm glad we decided¹ to try out this new ice cream parlor². I've been craving³ ice cream ever since I heard that it serves the best, most delicious desserts in the area.

Mike: Yeah, I'm really in the mood for ice cream, too. Judging by the display counter, they seem to have a lot of ice cream varieties available. Let's hurry up and order. What flavor do you want?

Amanda: I think I'll stick to a scoop⁴ of classic vanilla⁵, unless you want to share a banana split with me instead. I love banana split, but I can't finish the whole thing.

Mike: Vanilla has got to be the most boring flavor ever－it's so bland⁶! You really should try something new, Amanda. Count me out for the banana split. I think I'll go for a triple scoop of chocolate surprise in a waffle cone⁷.

Amanda: Mike, I can't believe you got a triple scoop! I'm sure it's going to be sickeningly sweet, and you'll just end up wasting it.

Mike: It may be sweet, but I'm sure it's definitely not as sweet as the rich chocolate cakes and cookies that you bake, Amanda!
