Mike: This lousy thing just crashed again! Now I'll never finish my paper!

Amanda: Won't it recover any of the lost data?

Mike: I doubt it. This computer has had it. I need a new one, but I can't afford it right now.

Amanda: I'm sure your parents would be delighted to let you use your family's main computer to get your paper done on time.

Amanda: Looks like you'll have to try to survive if it won't come back on. Maybe now you'll have more time to get out in the fresh air. Want to go take a walk in the park later?

Mike: Meh.

Amanda: Meh? What are you, a sheep?

Mike: I thought you were supposed to be the smart one. It's in the dictionary now. It means² I don't care; I'm indifferent³; and really, going to the park is the last thing I want to do now that my precious⁴ computer is broken!
