　　Jenny was a little girl who always lowered her head because she didn't think she was beautiful enough all the time. One day she went to a shop to buy a green bow. The shopkeeper constantly praised she looked very beautiful with it. Though she didn't believe that, Jenny was so happy that she couldn't help raising her head. Jenny happened to meet her teacher when she went into the classroom. "Jenny, it's really beautiful when you raise your head, "said the teacher, patting her shoulder caressingly³.

　　That day Jenny got the praise from many people. She thought it must be due to the bow. But when she looked in the mirror, there wasn't any bow on her head. She must have lost it when she went out of the shop and bumped⁴ against someone else.

　　Self-confidence is originally a kind of beauty, but many people care so much about their appearance that they lose a lot of joy. Poor or rich, fairy or plain as long as you raise your head. it can make you lovely.

　　詹妮是一个总爱低着头的小女孩,她一直觉得自己长得不够漂亮。有一天,她去商店买了一只绿色蝴蝶结,店主不断赞美她戴上蝴蝶结很漂亮。尽管詹妮不信,但她还是挺高兴,不由得扬起了头。詹妮走进教室,迎面碰见了老师。“詹妮,你扬起头来真美!”老师爱抚地拍拍她的肩说。

　　那一天,她得到了许多人的赞美。她想一定是蝴蝶结的功劳。但是,她往镜里一照,发现头上根本没有蝴蝶结,一定是走出商店时与人一碰弄丢了。

　　自信原本就是一种美丽,而很多人却因为太在意外表而失去了许多快乐。无论是贫穷还是富有,无论是貌若天仙还是相貌平平,只要你扬起头,就会使你变得可爱。
