1.  Officials say 15 people have been killed in a landslide¹ at a massive garbage dump on the outskirts² of Ethiopia's capital. They say several dozens people are also missing. 

2. The former Obama administration White House spokesman says government needs to make sure citizens are able to gauge³ the effectiveness of their policies if they want to build confidence. Josh Earnest was in Dubai, attending the government sponsored public diplomacy⁴ and government communication forum⁵. 

3. Pope Francis on Sunday prayed for the 39 girls killed and others injured in the blaze in Guatemala. The fire began in a youth shelter when mattresses⁶ were set in blaze in protest by those living there. 

4. Israelis across the country took to the street on Sunday, dressed up in costume to celebrate Purim, a holiday that commemorates⁷ the Jews' salvation⁸ from genocide in Persia, as recounted in the book of Esther. A giant float featuring U.S president Donald Trump⁹ was the centerpiece of the annual parade.
