The head of the National Hurricane Center Rick Knabb says Isaac's drenching7 rains are likely to cause widespread river flooding and the storm could slam coastal8 areas of Louisiana and Mississippi would significantly surge of seawater. 
We could see storm surge of 6-12 feet above ground level. That is why, some focus has been told to evacuate9.
And President Obama is urging people in vulnerable areas to hit those evacuation orders and not attempt to fail? by trying to ride up the storm.
