 From npr news in Washington I'm Winsir Johnston. Newly released document show General Motors delayed another recall. This one involves  more than 300,000 vehicles with defective1 power staling systems. Npr's Hosney Lowon reports the news comes on the hills of another long delayed recall. It's General Motors more than a decade to win  the public that more than 2.6 million of its cars had faulty ignition switches. Now documents posed on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's website showed that GM also waited years to recall more than 300,000 unsettled ions for power staling failure. This despite receiving thousands of consumers' complaints claiming for volunteer repair. The document also showed that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an investigstion about the defective power staling systems more than 2 years ago. But the government regulator did not siger a recall after finding the power problem cause a dozen crashes and true injuries. Hosney Lowon, npr news.

Officials in Massachusetts are expecting twice as many spectators for the Boston marathon than last year when 2 bombs killed 3 and injured many others.Npr's Jess Bredy reports authorities have biffed up security ahead of Monday's race. The Boston athletes assosoation is predicting a million spectators will show up this year. Nearly 36000 runners are signing up ,9000 more than last year. Among them is Seteven Penar of Spingfield, Massachusetts. He has just managed the marathon last year when the bombs went off. I don't feel any anxiety about safety right now cuz I think when I enforce the orgnanizer has done a great job, you know coming to a differet safer plan this year.5500 police officers and the members of national guard will patrol the marathon this year. Officials in Maiomin say it's unclear when the mountain side collapsed2 into the resort town of Jacksonmodivway. But they say it's likely when they does they will take a piece of the town with it. Jackson assistant town manager St Robinson says workers are trying to reinstall some outshed concrete pieces to help stablize the area affected3 by  the slide. The debate over whether horse drove carriages in New york city's central park should be remain is once again hiting up. Ally Feildman of the organization New Yorkers reclaimed13  a liverborn in safe streets is among those seeking to ban the carriages. We are already to say that the current carriages have been transformed from a horse carriage to a horseless carriage in a way that's going to be benefitial to all parties involved, meaning the horses in New York city, the people in  New York city and  any current carriages to the tourists.
New York city's council still has to vote on the issue but legislation has get to emerge.Nillbuild Blasio had promised during his campaign to ban the carriage rides.
