 Days after another mass shooting, the Republican-controlled House has agreed to increase money for instance criminal background check system. NPR's Lester Darter reports nearly 80% Republicans joined Democrats1 in the vote.

According to the White House, president Obama is waiting results of a full investigation3 by the department of veterans affairs before deciding who should be held the caliber4 for major delays in treatments founded in some VA facilities. Much may by White House press secretary Jay Carney made lightening calls for VA secretary Eric Shenseki to step down. Carney would not say whether the White House still has full confidence in Shenseki and there's a report issued this week by the agency internal watchdog group as some problems in the system nationwide. 
 
House officers say they're fighting to contain measles5 outbreak in the US. As NPR's Richard Harris explains, nearly 300 cases have been reported this year alone. 
People from Amish community in Ohio travelled to the Philippine to do service products, and they come back with highly contagious6 measles. That caused the biggest outbreak in the United States with more than 130 sick. Most were individuals who have never been vaccinated7 against the disease. The Ohio Department of Health says more than 8,000 in Amish community have lined up for vaccine8 to help stem the spread of this virus. And the federal officials are urging everyone travelling oversea to make sure they've been vaccinated against measles. They're 20 million cases of this disease annually9 worldwide. Every year, travelers bring in the virus trigger small outbreak in the US. The outbreaks in this year are the biggest in about 20 years. Richard Harris, NPR News. 
 
Images of more people were signing on the dotted line to buy a home last month, the housing market still appears to be have some rough spring. According to national association of realtors, the industry's main trade group, its seasonally10 adjusted house sell index was up 0.4% in the April though it naturally remain 9.2% below where was the same period last year. Analysts11 explain high mortgage interests rate and rising prices due to a smaller supply of homes on the market. Sign contracts in April rose in northeast and middle west, but fell in the west and south. 
 
On Wall Street today, the S&P 500 scored its third record closing high in four sessions, up 10 points and at the session of 1,920; the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 65 points, closing at 16, 698; the NASDAQ was up 22 points.

"The political environment that exists in Egypt this time suppressed the dissents16 and lacked of respect for basic freedoms absolutely compromise the political environment and made generally democratic, presidential election impossible."

According to an environment review of proposal by a private contractor17 set up a rocket launch site on the coast in southern Texas. Such facilities would not likely jeopardize18 protected animals species. Federal Aviation Administration released its environment impact assessment19 in response to proposal by Spaces, launched as many as 12 rockets a year from the site.
