A recent survey found that approximately fifty percent of farmers say they have no plans to move to urban areas. What’s behind their reluctance²? What does it say about the process of China’s urbanization?

April the 23rd marks World Reading Day. This year’s survey of Chinese reading habits suggest that more than 60 percent Chinese adults read books, stories and articles on their mobile³ phones last year, and they spent an average of just above one hour reading on their smartphones per day.
