East Asian work culture is world renowned¹ for its grueling and long work schedule. Lots of Chinese workers in offices and factories alike are simply overworked.

 

A recent report found that China tops the list of the number of people dying due to overwork. How can we nip the emerging work-till-you-drop phenomenon in the bud?

An elementary school in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province has rolled out a new school policy to prevent parents from parking too close which creates a traffic jam on a daily basis. If a violation⁵ occurs, the child’s performance score will be deducted⁶. Is punishing the kid for the parent’s wrong doing a reasonable way to curb⁷ the problem?
