Short Conversation¹ 给对方打电话

A:Hello.Ms. Sanchez.This is Yukio.I just got² to the hotel.

B:Hi,Yukio.I'm glad you made³ it.

A:My room number is one four six.You can call the hotel to reach⁴ me.If I'm not here,please leave a message on voicemail.

B:I will do that.

A: Is everything as⁵ scheduled⁶ for Monday?

B:Yes,our team is looking forward⁷ to meeting⁸ you.

A:So am I.

B:See you at ten o'clock.

 

1.just got to

get to表示“抵达，到达”，这里加上just，表示“刚刚抵达”。

2.leave a message on voicemail

是表示”请给我留言“的常用短语。

3.Is everything as scheduled for 

直译的话是”为了.......而全部按照预定个计划进行吗？“as scheduled是表示”按照预定计划“的重要短语。类似的用法如”We completed⁹ our work as scheduled."我们已经按照预定计划完成了工作。“

4.is looking forward to meeting

look forward to表示”期待“。to的后面一般接名词或者是动名词形式。在这里，是表示”我们期待......“的现在进行时，所以用be looking forward的形式。

5.So am I.

虽然也可以说Me too。但使用So am I会显得更地道。

6.reach me。

reach除了表示“到达”之外，也可以表示“联络，联系上”，在表示后一个意思的时候，reach的后面一般接人名。

• We'll carry on a conversation with her tomorrow.我们将于明天与她会谈。

2 got   

v.(get的过去式)得到，猜到，明白

参考例句：

• I just got some bad news.我刚得到一些坏消息。
• I have got far too much work to do.我要做的事太多了。

3 made   

v.make的过去式和过去分词

参考例句：

• They were not made in china.它们不是中国制造的。
• The monkey made a long arm for the peach.猴子伸臂去摘桃子。

4 reach   

n.延伸，范围，河段；vt.到达，伸出，延伸，取得联系；vi.延伸

参考例句：

• The railway line will soon reach to our town. 铁路不久就要延伸到我们镇了。
• Can you reach that apple down in the tree? 你能把树上那个苹果摘下来吗？

5 as   

conj.按照；如同

参考例句：

• He got work in a hotel as a waiter.他在一家旅馆找到了当服务生的工作。
• In the hotel,the old men were drinking away as usual.在旅馆里，这些老人和往常一样喝个不停。

6 scheduled   

adj.规定价格的；预定的；排定的；严格按时间表生活的vt.将…列入计划（或时间）表

参考例句：

• The meeting is scheduled to commence at noon. 会议定于午间召开。
• The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at noon. 首相定于中午到达。 来自《简明英汉词典》

7 forward   

adj.向前的，早的，迅速的，前锋；v.转交，促进，运送；adv.向前地

参考例句：

• Please move your car forward.请你把汽车住前开。
• Please forward my mail to me.请把我的邮件转寄给我。

8 meeting   

n.会议；集会

参考例句：

• Will you be at the meeting?你会来开会吗？
• We would like to hold the meeting at an early date.我们希望早日举行这次会议。

9 completed   

adj. 已完成的

参考例句：

• I completed the test within the time allotted . 我在限定的时间内完成了试验。
• Please return the completed form with your remittance. 请将填好的表格连同汇款寄回。
