Malaysian Airlines is being taken under state control as the Government in Kuala Lumpur tries to save the troubled carrier from collapse¹. The airline has suffered a huge drop in revenues after the tragic² loss of two aircraft this year. We hear analysis of the challenge of saving the airline from Sean Maffett, aviation analyst³ and a former navigator with Britian's Royal Air Force. Kenya is considering levying⁴ a windfall tax on mining and energy companies, but could the plan deter⁵ foreign investors⁶. Taipan Resources is listed on the Toronto stock exchange in Canada and it is one of a few energy companies exploring for oil in the north east of Kenya. We hear from the company's chief executive, Max Birley.
