　　Jason and his dad did not get along. They fought and disagreed¹ about everything. When Jason was 19, he and his father got into a huge fight. Jason left home. He packed a bag and got on the first bus heading² out of town. He went to a city that was not far away; however, to Jason it felt like another country.

　　杰森和他的父亲相处得并不融洽，他们什么事都要争吵，什么事意见都相左。杰森十九岁时和父亲大吵一架，而离家出走，他打包行李，搭上第一班出城的公交车，来到不远处的城市，可是对杰森来说，这里却像是异国。

　　He felt a little lonely but he tried to ignore³ those feelings because being⁴ on his own is what he wanted. He liked being independent⁵ and was glad to not be fighting with his father.

　　他觉得有些寂寞，不过他想办法忽略这些感觉，因为靠自己独立过活一直是他的心愿，他喜欢独立，而且很高兴不用再和他的父亲起争执。

　　Two years had passed since he had left home and aince he had spoken to his mother or father. One night he had a terrible dream. In his dream, his father was very sick. The next day Jason thought a lot about his dream. He realized that he could barely⁶ remember why he and his father weren't talking anymore.

　　他离家两年了，从没和父母通过话。一个晚上，他做了个噩梦，在梦中，父亲病危，隔天杰森一直在想他的梦，他发现几乎记不得他和父亲是为什么不说话。

　　That evening he got on a bus and went back to his parent's home. Jason was happy to find his parents both healthy and very pleased to see him again.

　　当天晚上，他搭公交车回到父母家，杰森很高兴知道父母都很健康，而且很高兴能再见到他。

1 disagreed   

v.不同意( disagree的过去式和过去分词 )；（食物）有害健康；不适合；不符

4 being

5 independent
