2 engaged   

a.having agree to get married

3 persisted   

坚持( persist的过去式和过去分词 )； 维持； 保持； 持续存在

4 learned   

adj.有学问的，博学的；learn的过去式和过去分词

5 deeply   

adv.深刻地，在深处，深沉地

6 communist   

n.共产主义者，共产党员；adj.共产主义的，共产党员的

7 confidence
