英语分类词汇：环境保护

 　　联合国环境规划署将每年的6月5日确定为“世界环境日”，希望通过“世界环境日”主题让人类认识到可持续发展和公平发展的重要性，最终使全人类拥有一个安全而繁荣的未来。

　　2006年世界环境日庆典在阿尔及利亚首都阿尔及尔举行。这是世界环境日庆典首次在北非国家举行。2006年世界环境日的主题为“沙漠和荒漠化--莫使旱地变荒漠”。
