汇率英语对话

The exchange rate between RMB and Dollar has been floating and mentioned frequently recently ,why ?what is the exchange rate ? 

美元和人民币之间的汇率总是热点，什么是汇率？

Professor:

It is the price of one currency expressed in terms of another . 

汇率是指一种货币用另一种货币来表示的对值。

Newer:

Do you mean how much dollar could represent One Yuan? 

是不是一元钱等于多少美元？

Professor:Right ! 

正确！

Newer:

I am confused about this , does it matter if the exchange rate changed? 

我有点搞不懂，汇率有浮动会有影响吗？

Professor:

It matters . For if RMB depricate ,the price of merchandises would be lower , in this way we could say it motivates our export. however, on the other side, it affects our economy in the long run . 

有影响。比如人民币贬值了，商品在国际上的价格就降低了，那我们就可以这么说。它刺激了中国的出口。 但从另一面来说，长远来看会对我国经济产生不利影响。
