BEIJING, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Three-time NBA All-star Gilbert Arenas1 missed a head-to-head clash with seven-time All-star Tracy Mcgrady in the fourth round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.
Arenas was benched for groin strain, only to see Mcgrady deliver 23 points and 9
rebounds2 but meet with a
frustrating3 four-game losing
streak4 as Shanghai, led by captain Liu Wei's 28 points, overwhelmed Qingdao 93-77 for its first win at home.
"The win was owed to good defence, especially on T-mac, who used too much energy trying to breaking through us," said Liu.
