　　你能帮我写一个报纸广告吗？

　　B: Sure, what are you looking to buy or sell?

　　当然，我想买什么或者卖什么吗？

　　A: Actually, I want to hire someone to help me around the house.

　　当然了，我想雇个人帮我照看房子。

　　B: Oh, you want to get a maid?

　　哦，你想找个帮手吗？

　　A: Well, I think it's better if you call her a cleaning lady or domestic¹ help.

　　嗯，我想你最好称呼她为一个清洁女工或者家政助理。

　　B: OK, so what do you want her to do?

　　好的，你想让她做什么呢？

　　A: Well, let's see. I want her to come in three times a week for a couple of hours to clean the kitchen, bathroom and maybe do some cooking.

　　嗯，让我想想。我想让她一周三次，每次三个小时帮我打扫厨房，卫生间，或者做些做些吃的。

　　B: Got it. And how much do you offer per month?

　　知道了。你一个月出多少钱呢？

　　A: I would pay her hourly, I don't know what the going rate is though.

　　我会按小时给他报酬的，我不知道该给多少合适。

　　B: I know for sure it's more than minimum² wage but maybe you should just negotiate³ with the person that answers the ad.

　　我确切知道比最低工资要多，但是可能你需要和回应广告的人谈判。

　　A: Great! Thanks for your help!

　　Hiring extra help is as easy as adding a new moderator.

　　租用额外帮助是那样轻松加入新主持人。

　　Eased⁴ the burden on her staff by hiring temporary help.

　　雇临时职员以减轻她手下人员的负担。

　　2. hire n. 租金，工钱；雇用，租用 vt. 雇用；出租 vi. 雇用

　　Representatives from many companies visit colleges to hire students.

　　很多公司的代表都会到学校雇用学生。

　　It could also build more schools, universities, clinics and hospitals, or hire more or better teachers or doctors.

　　修建更多的学校、大学、诊所和医院，或者雇用更多及更好的教师和医生。

　　3. more than 多于；超出；比……多

　　I like peas more than cabbage.

　　比起卷心菜我更喜欢豌豆。

　　That would be more than I have expected.

　　那已经比我期望的还要多了。
