MONROVIA, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- An Africa Union-backed 76-member Nigerian medical contingent1, comprising nurses and doctors, has arrived in Liberia as part of the response to Ebola Virus Disease eradication2 in the country.
The Nigerian medical team, which arrived in the country on Friday, was welcomed by the Nigerian Ambassador to Liberia, Chigozie Obi-Nnadozie.

He said team is in Liberia to address the latest pockets of transmissions across the country.
The Nigeria Ebola response staff will be assigned in Ebola Treatment Units (ETUs) in rural parts of Liberia that have shown pockets of the virus.
