Canada is the second largest country in the world. Its territory is about three-fifths of the size of Russia, the largest country. Canada is more than twice the size of the European Union, which is made up of 28 countries. Canada’s population is much smaller than the European Union, though. About 35 million people call Canada home, while there are over 500 million people living in the European Union. Canada is not the largest country, but it does have the world’s longest shoreline. Canada’s coast is bordered by three different oceans.
