模仿文本： Meanwhile campaigners in Britain have launched a petition of protesting at what they call gender¹ segregation² taking place at some of the country's universities after audiences were asked to sit apart from the opposite sex during some events. Now Universities UK, the body which represents higher education institutions has issued guidance to its members as John Manners reports.  

 

译文：  同时，因部分英国大学在一些场合让男女学生分开坐，英国的活动家们已经发起了请愿书来抗议他们称之为性别隔离的现象。现在就如John Manners所报道的那样，代表高等教育机构的英国大学联合会已向成员们提出了建议。
