Ralph Kabisch had moved to West Berlin shortly¹ after the wall went up. And it was there that he met a man who is still his friend today, Joachim Neumann. Joachim had used a fake² passport to escape from East Germany. His girlfriend had stayed behind, but she now wanted to try and join him. In the early days it was still possible to escape by cutting the wire. Some people even jumped out of the windows of houses which overlooked³ the border.(以文本为主哟~)

墙才刚树起不久，拉尔夫·卡比什就搬去了西柏林。他在那里遇见了一个人，也是他至今的好友，阿基姆·努尔曼。阿基姆用一本假护照从东德逃了过来。他的女朋友之前留在了东德，但到了那时又想和他在一起。初期还有可能切断电网电线逃过来。有人甚至从高踞边境线之上的住宅窗户跳出来。
