After a month of panic and public deliberation, the longstanding and revered² brands of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are finally relieved, as the names of their products will be kept the way they are.

 

China’s drug regulator, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), has recently reversed its decision on naming regulations for TCM.

 

Why is changing names such a big deal for traditional Chinese medicine?

Tsinghua University has set a requirement which makes swimming a compulsory skill, if you don’t pass the test, you can’t graduate! The news has generated praise and criticism alike. The university wants its graduates to be physically⁴ fit.

 

But is passing a swimming test the way to go?

The newspaper Southern Metropolis⁵ Daily hosted a discussion on the necessity of companies giving out one perk⁶ to employees, that is to take a nap during lunch time. One company even has a room with bunk⁷ beds for employees to nap in.

 

Should employees be allowed to take a nap during lunch time?
