Goodbye Beautiful Day
Lyrics6
Time just withers7 away
Stealing day after day
The moon calls and night falls
goodbye beautiful day
Seems time never can stay
just keeps running away
the stars fly
and hearts cry
leaving nothing left to say
chorus:
Goodbye Beautiful Day
I must be on my way
Stop the rain and ease my pain
I'm sorry I can't stay
Goodbye beautiful day
thats all I have to say
come tomorrow I'll be gone
I'm sorry I can't stay
time always has her say
slowly slipping away
its gone now but somehow
there's no telling time today
this time i'll go away
and i'll be gone to stay
we all know we will go
thats all i have to say
repeat chorus 2x

Genres8: Electronic, Alternative, Pop, Rock, World
The new Los Angeles-based ambient rock band, Beat&Path, will headline the historic El Rey Theatre in L.A. at 11 pm on Friday, December 20th--direct from their sold-out debut9 at the world-famous Viper10 Room in Hollywood, and San Francisco's Tongue & Groove4.
Beat&Path was formed in January 2001 by the dynamic songwriting team of Douglas Ladnier and Barrett Yeretsian. Douglas, a critically acclaimed11 singer and Broadway veteran who has performed in more than 60 countries around the world, met Barrett within one week of relocating to Los Angeles after performing 11 roles in the Broadway production of Kekyll & Hyde. Meanwhile, in L.A., Barrett was actively12 writing, recording13 and performing music with his former band Likwid Kiwi. Playing the drums since age 11, Barrett has been writing and performing with various bands since age 15 and had played his first Roxy show by age 16; since then, he has played The Whiskey, The Troubadour, Dragonfly, the L.A. Tennis Center, The Martini Lounge and various other L.A. venues14.
As the creative force of Beat&Path, Barrett and Douglas have developed their songwriting harmony in the recording studio, achieving a hypnotic balance between rhythm and rhyme, spirit and song, meaning and melody--beat and path. Influenced by musical styles that range from trip-hop to jazz, metal to funk, rock to world-beat, and hip-hop to the blues15, beat&path has forged a new sound that is quickly spreading throughout the L.A. music scene and abroad.
After spending more than a year-and-a-half writing, developing and recording their debut CD, Beat&Path has added Clint Feddersen and Alex Ruiz, on bass and guitar respectively. Clint and Barrett have been writing and recording songs for various projects for several years. Alex is a classically trained guitarist who has been friends with barrett since 1995. Beat&Path's newest member is keyboard/percussionist Chris Yeganian. Chris has been playing percussion16 with Barrett in various capacities since 1996.
In addition to performing in support of their self-titled debut EP, Beat&Path is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their first full-length CD, which is also being produced by Barrett. The CD will be out early in the new year and will be supported by showcases in Los Angeles and New York city during the winter and spring of 2003.
