Chinese President Xi Jinping has met his Irish counterpart Michael Higgins in Beijing, with both pledging to boost strategic partnerships¹ between the two countries.

The program ran from 2002 to 2006 and involved questioning al-Qaeda and other captives in secret detention⁹ facilities in various countries.
