Good morning from the CNN Center in Atlanta. I'm Naamua Delaney. Thanks for checking in with us. Here's a look at what's happening Now In The News.

Senator Barack Obama is getting an endorsement1 from one of his former rivals. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson will announce his support today at an Obama rally in Portland, Oregon. In an E-mail to supporters, the former candidate said his affection for the Clintons will never waver but that is time to prepare for the tough fight against Senator John McCain in the fall.

McCain's campaign has suspended a low level staffer for questioning Obama's patriotism2. Soren Dayton posted a video on line that intercuts Obama's soundbites with controversial comments from his former pastor3 Jeremiah Wright. McCain has emphasized repeatedly that he will not engage in personal attacks on Democrats4. No word on how long Dayton's suspension will last.

There could be a pause in U.S. troop reductions in Iraq and it could last for as long as six weeks later this summer. That's one recommendation military leaders pitched to Defense5 Secretary Robert Gates yesterday. The idea is that the pause will help military officials assess the effect the lower troop levels will have on violence in Iraq.

Four earthquakes rocked Western China today. The strongest was a 7.2-magnitude quake. That's what U.S. geologists6 say. The most powerful quake struck a province near China's border with Tibet. China's state media reports there are no injuries but some houses collapsed7.

Space Shuttle Endeavor astronauts finished their fourth space walk this morning. Take a look at these pictures of them hard at work just hours ago outside Endeavor. You can see them testing a new heat shield repair technique. Later today the crew will use a robotic arm to inspect Endeavor's wing and nose cap for damage.

That's a quick look at what's making news this hour. Stay with CNN for more on these stories and the other news of the day.
