Clashes continued in Rafah, at the southern end of the Gaza Strip, where an 11-year-old Palestinian boy who was shot to death Saturday was buried. Witnesses say Khalil Mughrabi was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers. Mourners promised 1)revenge for the child's death. Israel did not confirm the killing, but admits troops fired back at militants who were throwing 2)grenades and firing gunshots at their post. In the West Bank, Palestinian sources say Israeli agents abducted Hamas 3)activist Ayoub Sha'arawi in Palestinian-controlled Hebron. His wife said Israeli agents surrounded their car and beat Mr. Sha'arawi in front of her and their children when he refused to get out of the vehicle. Israel has 4)asserted its right to act against suspected Palestinian militants. Meanwhile in Nablus, in the West Bank, a Palestinian court sentenced 21-year-old Thaer Walid Jaber to life at 5)hard labor for giving information to Israeli agents that was used two-months ago in an attack on a Palestinian intelligence officer. The intelligence officer was lightly hurt in the attack by an Israeli helicopter gunship. Other convicted 6)collaborators have been executed for similar offenses, and some 7)spectators in the courtroom shouted that the sentence was too lenient.
