 1. After more than 10 hours of deliberations, a Florida jury has acquitted Casey Anthony of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee. Anthony had faced the death penalty if convicted of murder. She was found guilty of lying to investigators and will be sentenced Thursday.

 
 
2. Mexican rescuers are continuing their search for seven missing American tourists whose fishing boat capsized two days ago in the Gulf of California. One American has been confirmed dead in the accident. Nineteen other tourists and all 16 crew members have been accounted for.
 
 
3. Ailing Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is staying home in his presidential palace, while thousands of troops across town march to mark the country's bicentennial. Chavez says he is still recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in Cuba.
 
 
4. Tiger Woods is going to miss another major. Citing continued recovery from leg injuries, Woods announced Tuesday that he will not play in the British Open next week. He sat out the US Open last month.
