Arsenal reaches agreement with Man City for Nasri move(在线收听

LONDON, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- English Premier League side Arsenal said Tuesday that they have reached an agreement with rivals Manchester City to sell French midfielder Samir Nasri.

"Arsenal can confirm that they have agreed terms for Samir Nasri to move to Manchester City," the Gunners said in a statement on their website.
Nasri had been chased by City for weeks and was offered a significant wage rise. He featured in Arsenal's league match last Saturday.
Arsenal allowed the 24-year-old to travel to Manchester for a medical, meaning he will not feature in the Gunners' crucial Champions League play-off second leg at Udinese on Wednesday.
"The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical and formal registration processes," said Arsenal.
Nasri spent three years with Arsenal after joining from Marseille.
Arsenal has already lost captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona this season, and Nasri's departure will be a further blow for them.
"The summer was very difficult because we had Cesc Fabregas and Nasri on permanent transfer negotiations and that is draining in the end," said coach Arsene Wenger.
"We lost two great players and that's a sad side of the story but at some stage it has to be over, because you want to focus on the future," he added.
