F:the results of our research are in(得到了).
M: give it to me straight, what do I need to do?
F: as I explained to you last time…
M: just give me the bottom line(结论,问题实质), save the explanation for later.(此种说法比较直率)
F: the bottomline, your customers want better selection and faster service.
M: there is not enough to choose from , in my whole department store?
F: especially the areas of accessories.there isn’t enough choice.
M: the selection is too small and the service is too slow.
Q: what do customers want?
A: better selection and faster service
Dialog 2:
F: that’s it in a nutshell(简而言之).
M: well ,I can work with my buyers to improve the selection.
F: and you can work with your staff to improve their service.
M: was my staff rude?
F: No. but not very helpful neither.
M: they weren’t willing to go the extra mile?(做份外事)
F: no they weren’t informed of customers or the products.
M: and I bet they didn’t offfer suggestions on what to buy.
Q:why will he work with his staff
A: to improve their service.

Dialog 3:
F: there also weren’t enough salesclerks for peak hours.
M: on Saturday, I suppose.
F: Saturday all day, all week during lunch and after work.
M: I can hire more people for those times.
F: you have to train them.
M: train them to respond quickly to customers’needs.
F: train them stay on top of the product line(熟知产品系列有关的知识)
M: and train them to be one step ahead of the customer.(领先一步)
Q:what will he do with the people he hires?
A: train them !
