 1. Russia and China have vetoed a Security Council resolution that calls for Syrian president Bashar al-Assad to step down. The resolution which is supported by all the other council members aimed at stopping the ongoing violence in Syria.

3. US Park Police officers have been clearing tents at one of the nation's last remaining Occupy Movements sites. Authorities say they are not evicting the Occupy protesters, but they are enforcing a ban on camping in the downtown Washington Square. 
 
 
 
4. And in Russia, tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets of Moscow Saturday to show their opposition to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's rule. Putin is still expected to win the country's presidential election next month.
