Robin Gibb, Bee Gees legend singer dies at 62(在线收听

   BEIJING, May 21(Xinhuanet) --Robin Gibb, the singer and founder of British famous musical band Bee Gees, passed away on Sunday at 62 "following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” according to a statement from his family Sunday.

  Robin and his brothers, Barry and Maurice, were inducted into both Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musical style and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1997.
  Robin and the band impressed the Brits with famous hits like “Stayin’ Alive”, “How deep is your love”, “I started a joke”. They sold over 200 million records.
  Besides writing songs for themselves, Robin also made hits for other singers, including Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Celine Dion, Destiny’s Child, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
  It is reported that Robin had a health problem since two years ago. Although he recovered from a liver and colon cancer at the first stage, a new tumor beat him to a central London Hospital in mid-April.
  According to his family members, he was awakened last month and spoke some words in deed, though his doctor said Robin was alreday “in God’s hand”.
