3. A BP executive has been indicted on charges that he lied to authorities about his work estimating the rate at which oil was flowing during the 2010 Gulf oil spill disaster. BP also announced it had agreed to pay 4.5 billion dollars in a settlement with the US government. 
 
 
 
4. And a Japanese sprinter is officially the world's fastest man on four limbs. The Guinness World Records was on hand as he ran a 100-meter track in 17.47 seconds breaking his own record time from 2008.
