  In heart hit Moll, Oklahoma today, president Obama got a first-hand look at tornado damage. NPR’s Scott Horsely tells us the president met with families who were affected by the storm and pledged that the federal government would be there to help for the long haul. The president toward a residential neighborhood where the homes have been reduced to rubble. And he met with the first responder who helped in the storm immediate aftermath. Standing outside the plaza tower elementary school which has been demolished by the tornado, Obama pledged the federal government will help the community throughout the rebuilding process. I’m just messenger here, today letting you know that you are not alone, you got folks behind you. 24 were killed by the tornado. But given the force of the storm, the toll might have been even higher.   Senate-armed service committee republican LG has sharp words for president Obama’s national security speech last week. Among other things, the president denounced changing strategy including less reliance on unmanned drone to target enemies. Senator G told Fox news Sunday. Are they all demolishing our national security infrastructure. See frustration and dismay in the military time when needed the most. I’ve never been more worried about our national security then than i am right now on the speech did not help. Illinois democrat Dick Derban disagreed. You just find in a warlike atmosphere that you end up compromising some basic values and basic freedom and liberties that’s the president reminded to us.   The memorial day weekend will includes sinking up cargo ship off Alabama’s golf coast. Alabama’s public radio M Martin reports it’s part of a large efforts to develop the state’s artificial reefs. The sinking of the 40-year-old cargo ship called Delulu is part of a project by coastal tourism officials to build Alabama’s artificial reefs and become a recreational diving destination year around. Edward Rica is president of Alabama golf coast area, chamber of commerce. Coast of Alabama has what is the largest designated reefs zone in the world. So we have the infrastructure there. We have reefs zone there already there. And it’s just populating the reefs. Edward Rica says his organization wants to sink three ships into the golf by 2015. For NPR news, i’m MM.
